Who We Are
We value traditions - we appriciate innovation
Here at Agri-Cultura-Natura Transylvaniae Association we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in protecting and carefully developing some of the many cultural and natural values rural Transylvania preserved for its people and the rest of the World.
Our office is based in Miercurea Ciuc in the Eastern Carpathian mountains and the territorial scope of our everyday work is the Csík area and Gyimes. However we are happy to reach out beyond these boundaries whenever inquired.

REMARKABLE TREES OF ROMANIA
Empowering farmers - conserving nature
With this service, our goal is to help our farmers in their recent efforts in developing their farms in an environmentally sound way to protect the fantastic natural treasures that traditional farming maintained here for over a millenium. Protecting traditions - satisfying contemporary needs
We are impassioned by the simple beauty, the practical structures and environmentally sustainability of traditional architecture of our region. By advocating good examples in modern use of old structures we believe that many of these buildings can find their new functions instead of disappearing from our villages. Protecting ancient trees and wood pastures
Transylvania holds a big proportion of Europe's medieval wood pastures of extraordinary natural and cultural value. These ancient trees are threatened by farm modernisation or negligance. We would like to turn peoples' attantion on special trees throughout Romania. To learn more about how you can take your part in protecting these important trees, click here:
